Frozen treats can be an instant pick me up and are also a great way to cool down in the summer heat.
While ice-cream may be yummy, its loaded with calories (yup, even homemade ice-cream) - so for a healthier treat, why not try make some fruit lollies at home.
The best part of making your own frozen lollies is that you can choose your own flavour and you can make them preservative free and as organic as you want them to be - it all depends on the quality/type of your ingredients.
All you need is:
* fruit juice (as fresh and as organic as possible)
* yoghurt (I like to use organic vanilla yoghurt)
*lolly moulds or something that can be used as a lolly mould
* ice lolly sticks
What you need to do:
Take your favorite juice flavour and pour into a 1/3 or half of the lolly moulds. Place in the freezer and when almost set put in your ice lolly sticks. When the juice is properly set pour in your yoghurt till almost fill and place back in the freezer until hard and set.
Then, just take lollies out of moulds and enjoy :)
