What I love about aromatherapy and essential oils is that it is such a versatile natural product. Essential oils can be used on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual body to nurture and heal. And they can be used in the home, to replace commercial cleaning products.

Orange essential oil is particularly valuable for me. If you think of an orange tree, it’s like having a little sunshine in the middle of winter. The shape of the fruit represents the sun. It is loaded with vitamin C, present in nearly all winter remedies. The colour orange is also very uplifting. And so too is the essential oil.

Orange essential oil can be used in an electric or candle aromatherapy burner to uplift the atmosphere, and create a sense of joy around you. Two or three drops, mixed into a little sweet almond oil and placed in your bath will invigorate you. It can also be used as an anti inflammatory, anti depressant, anti spasmodic, anti septic, aphrodisiac, carminative, diuretic, tonic, and a sedative. Using orange essential oil is like bringing back the sunshine into your life. All year round. Isn’t that what ever person wants in their life?
