I've been curious about yoga for sometime, so I decided to buy a Yogazone power yoga DVD and try it...
The power yoga DVD I have is for beginners and has 2 x 20 minute sessions on it. Though the yoga instructors seemed to change positions really quickly and getting my breathing right took a little practice, I still found that I managed to do all the positions rather easily and felt like i had a nice workout after doing both sessions.
What I love most about trying a new exercise with a DVD is that I can just do it in the privacy of my own home, I don't have to pay for a class and I can wear what i like. The only negative things about doing new exercises with a DVD is that you dont get input or motivation from instructors and the DVD can very quickly become boring.
I think I will try and do this DVD a few more times to get the hang of it and see if I still enjoy it. If I really like it I think I may have to go and find a nice yoga class to join.
