Biobodi has reformulated its Bamboo Charcoal bodycare range (shampoo, conditioner & liquid soap) in line with the high standards of the Environmental Working Group (EWG) Skin Deep Database (www.ewg.org) of “clean” ingredients (good for people, good for the planet). That means zero “nasties”.
At the same time, the range is now packaged in next-generation BioPet bottles containing at least 20% material from sugarcane. The aluminium caps on the shampoo and conditioner are also 100% recyclable as is the liquid soap pump.
Formulated in SA, the Biobodi Bamboo Charcoal range takes advantage of a key compound found in bamboo: Silica.
Silica is Nature’s way of giving strength to plants (think of it as vegan collagen). In hair care products, silica gives strength and volume, assists in preventing thinning and encourages growth. In soap, bamboo charcoal deep cleans, especially oily, combination and blemish-prone skin types. It also has antibacterial, anti-microbial, antiviral and antifungal properties.
The bamboo used by Biobodi is grown sustainably in SA by Ecoplanet Bamboo.
