Black Bean Burgers

Ingredients
  • 250 g Wellness Warehouse Black Beans 

  • 2 eggs 

  • 1/2 an onion, finely chopped 

  • 1 small red pepper, chopped 

  • 1/2 cup Wellness Warehouse Brown Rice flour 

  • 1 TBSP A Little Something Organic Ground Cumin 

  • 1 tsp Good Life Organic Thyme 

  • 1 tsp chilli flakes 

  • Oryx Desert Salt and Black Pepper to taste 

  • Prince Albert Extra Virgin Olive Oil for cooking 

FOR SERVING 

  • Bake A Lot Yum Macadamia Burger Buns 

  • Smashed avocado 

  • Mozzarella cheese slices 

  • Baby spinach 

  • Tomato slices 

  • Shredded red cabbage 

Method
  1. In a mixing bowl, roughly mash the black beans with a fork. 

  1. Add the eggs, onion, red pepper, flour, ground cumin, thyme, chilli flakes, and salt and pepper. 

  1. Mix together until well combined. 

  1. Divide mixture into 4 and form burger patties. 

  1. Place a frying pan over a medium to high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. 

  1. Once heated, add the burger patties and fry for 5 - 10  minutes on each side, or until golden brown. 

  1. Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burgers for serving and enjoy!
