Human Resources Generalist

Job description:

We have an exciting opening at our offices based in Bree Street, Cape Town to be located in Duiker Street, Parow from September 2017. We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our Head Office team, who will play a key role in owning and representing the HR function of the company. Ideally coming from the Retail industry, you will be an experienced HR Generalist, with an obvious passion for the HR profession and looking for that next career move, which will enable you to develop and move forward in your career. Working within a high-performing HR team, our main focus will be the overall responsibility of the full HR function and consistently applying your skills/knowledge to ensure all assigned tasks are completed to a high standard. This includes recruitment, orientation and induction, training and development, advising on IR/disciplinary issues, reporting, administration….the list goes on!

Experience & Specialist Knowledge Skills:

  • Gr. 12
  • HR related Diploma / Degree
  • 3 Years + previous work experience in similar Generalist position performing a ‘Full HR Function’, ideally in the Retail industry
  • Experience working within a Payroll function
  • Computer literacy in MS Office & Internet.
  • Experience on VIP payroll advantageous.
  • Knowledgeable regarding relevant legislation (BCEA, LRA, EE, W&R Sectorial Determination, etc.)
  • Decision-making & judgement skills
  • Own reliable transport & valid driver’s license

Foods Department Manager

Kloof Store, Cape Town

Job description:

Wellness Warehouse is currently looking for a dynamic, experienced and skilled individual to fill the role of Foods Manager at our flagship store in Cape Town’s trendy Kloof Street on a permanent basis. You will be reporting into the Store Manager and responsible for the food market.

The successful incumbent must be interpersonally strong, have a retail background, understand and have worked with fresh produce, be able to multi-task and live the wellness lifestyle.

Key requirements of the role:

  • The majority of your role will be on the store floor so retail experience is a must
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience working with and ordering Fresh produce
  • Have a proven track record of leading, managing and mentoring a team
  • Oversee the ordering, pricing, merchandising and storage of stock
  • Manage promoting of products within the department
  • Ensure wastage is managed and accounted for
  • Ensure that the stock room is managed effectively and stock reaches the shelves in a timely manner

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidates must be brand ambassadors
  • Minimum 4 years retail experience
  • Demonstrative leadership skills
  • Ability to effectively plan and delegate work
  • Candidates need to have had experience working with fresh food produce
  • Candidates must be attentive to detail, solutions-orientated and comfortable with administration
  • Candidates need to have strong written and oral communication skills
  • Fully computer literate

Requirements:

  • Grade 12/Matric with Accountancy knowledge of book keeping principles
  • Computer literate excel and spreadsheet
  • 5 yrs experience
  • Pastel Evolution would be an advantage
  • Previous experience working as a Creditors Clerk

Key Requirements of the role: with the ongoing running of the store which includes:

  • You’ll be based in one of our retail stores so exposure to a retail environment (preferably Health) is essential.
  • Advising, consulting and providing excellent customer service is essential for us.
  • Knowledge sharing with peers.
  • At our select store, whilst your role will certainly focus on customer interaction, you will also be getting involved
    • Assisting with the administration within the store
    • Assisting with the merchandising of the store
    • Working on the till and ringing through purchases
    • Stock counting / take
    • Ensuring the store is clean at all time.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Health Consultants need to be qualified in Health Science(s) ( Naturopathy/ Homeopathy or Phytotherapy)
  • Successful candidates will need to have experience in a sales focused role and be able to generate sales whilst advising customers.
  • Candidates must have a genuine interest in leading a healthy lifestyle.
  • Be a brand ambassador.
  • Our stores are open over weekends so the ability to work over weekends is a prerequisite.
