I am excited to be writing to you as the new CEO of Wellness Warehouse, and am honoured to have been a part of this amazing and diverse organisation for the past 18 months. I want to thank our Chairman, Carlos Gomes, and the Board of Directors for having faith in me to lead the business.
which has led to the recent opening of our 50th store, and firmly established our leadership role in the South African preventative healthcare space. I am grateful for his ongoing friendship and support.
I am truly humbled by this awesome opportunity - a responsibility that I do not take lightly. For more than 15 years, our team has set out to fulfil our mission, which is to be the leading independent health and wellness retailer and empower holistic personal journeys to natural wellbeing. This simple and compelling mission has guided our team to create the platform that we have today to help empower each other and you, our customers, who we serve every day. To lead such a business and its people is incredibly inspiring, and a tremendous privilege. Our business is about people ― talented, engaged and innovative people who are passionate about delivering expert advice and finding innovative health solutions for you.
We need to ensure that we have a sustainable foundation from which to grow and deliver on our mission as we look to expand our store footprint. A few fundamental changes to this end in the near term include the introduction of a new loyalty tool which will help us to better engage with our Live Life Well Rewards members; the launch of the How Can We Help campaign, which sees us offering online health consulting for the first time; the renovation of our flagship store based in the Lifestyle on Kloof Centre in Cape Town; and our recent office move, which has finally brought our team together under one roof.
Despite these changes, we will continue to strive to be the choice destination for preventative healthcare solutions. In terms of how we present ourselves, we will need to be collaborative, participative, engaged, and intimately know and meet your needs.
It is therefore fitting that, with the arrival of spring, we receive an invitation to start fresh and take the next step on our collective journey to wellness. As we start the final quarter of the year, we invite you to nurture your own and each other’s growth by embracing a fresh start. I am energised by what the future holds.
