From Our CEO

The first time I laid eyes on this edition of our magazine’s cover, I instantly felt a sense of wanderlust mixed with a twinge of regret.

While South Africa’s borders still remain closed, I am reminded that we never need to stop exploring what this beautiful country has to offer. We are blessed with an abundance of breathtaking open spaces in which to escape and reconnect to nature.

In a similar fashion, the process of reconnecting with ourselves, forming new connections with others, and following our daily drive for progress and growth also serve as mental and emotional adventures and forms of self-exploration.

I love how T.S. Eliot expressed this in his simple acknowledgment that we achieve personal growth through exploration – whatever form it may take:

“We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.”

At Wellness Warehouse, our mission to empower more people on their personal journeys to holistic natural wellbeing is fundamentally realised in how we embrace exploration.

It has been a busy year so far, with some exciting developments at Wellness - some of which include our new tech-driven, autonomous concept store (a first for South Africa, and a leap into the unknown for retail); our entry into the Mauritian market; opening a new flagship store in an entirely new design in Umhlanga (also a first for the health industry); growing our presence in KwaZulu-Natal with a third store in the province; and relaunching our website. These are all great examples of the journey we are on, and our unwavering commitment to helping more people to live life well. Thank you for partnering with us along the way.

I hope you enjoy this edition of our magazine, as always lovingly curated by our passionate team to bring you new insights into the world of holistic health and wellness.

Above all, I hope that you will stay curious and keep exploring!

Yours in wellness,

Simon Alston
