Description

This rice milk powder, once reconstituted can be enjoyed as a delicious milk alternative by people who are lactose intolerant. It is not suitable for a strict milk-free diet.

Ingredients

Corn syrup solids, vegetable fat (palm fruit), dextrose, maltodextrin, rice flour (15%), salt, minerals (tricalcium phosphate, magnesium oxide, potassium chloride, calcium D-pantothenate, magnesium phosphate, potassium iodide), flavouring, thickeners, emulsifier [casein (cow's milk)], vitamins (ascorbic acid, nicotinamide, vitamin E, vitamin A, vitamin D3, pyridoxine hydrochloride, riboflavin, thiamine hydrochloride, vitamin B12, folic acid, biotin), anticaking agent, stabilisers. 

Warnings

Not for baby feeding. This product is packed in a warehouse where peanuts and tree nuts are present.

Directions

To reconstitute: Add 3 tablespoons rice milk powder to 1 cup of water, 100g to 1 litre of water or one measure to 5 measures of water, and whisk well.

Activation stations, everybody!

 

The activation process involves soaking the nuts and seeds to stimulate the sprouting process, and then airdrying them at a low temperature. This process breaks down problematic compounds (called phytates) that would otherwise decrease the bioavailability of the nutrients in the nuts and seeds, meaning our bodies can more easily absorb all the available vitamins and minerals. Activation also ensures the nuts and seeds are gentler on the digestive tract.
