Thank you for your question regarding your fatigue.

Your exercise regime is excellent, but you need to check the fatigue.

Firstly, Bio-Strath is a food supplement , containing vitamins, amino acids, minerals, trace elements & building substances for the body, whch shoud assist exhaustion, support the immune system, aid convalescence, & also assist with stress.

However, your source of fatigue needs to be identified, & with the aid of Full Blood Count (blood test), one may be able to check the cause.

Maybe, Iron levels (Haemoglobin & Ferritin) are low….or even the thyroid may need attention.

We have a large selection of supplements, which will facilitate adrenal fatigue, support iron levels, or sugar metabolism, but need to establish the reason for your fatigue, in order to prescribe a suitable protocol.

Please feel free to contact me ..021-4875441 or email further information to felicia@wellnesswarehouse.com.

Kind regards

Yours in Health

Hi

This sounds very complex. It would be essential to know the whole picture to be able to give you specific advice.

It is very important to look at all illnesses and symptoms as a whole. Different diseases rarely develop in isolation and the dysfunctions that lead to your adrenal fatigue could also possibly have been involved in the development of your diabetes. While Solal’s ‘Burnout’ will help your adrenals to recover, it is important to correct the problems that created the adrenal fatigue (and diabetes) in the first place. These could include stress, toxins, nutritional deficiencies, genetic tendencies, use of stimulants or chronic infections, or a combination to varying degrees. If those underlying problems aren’t corrected the constant strain and underlying dysfunction makes it very difficult for the adrenals to get back to normal function even with the ‘Burnout’. So it is impossible to tell you how long you will need to take it.

It would be important to look at your diet in detail, the supplements that you are taking, sleep and exercise, and explore stressors and how to manage your stress levels. If you are feeling anxious then stress is definitely an issue. It would also be important to do diagnostic tests to determine the underlying dysfunction.

Pain above the kidneys is not one of the usual symptoms of adrenal fatigue. It is much more commonly linked to muscle or fascial tension as a result of stress and anxiety.

I recommend that you chat to your Dr about diagnosing the underlying problem or find a good integrative practitioner. In addition I think that a good physio should be able to confirm if your pain is related to muscle or fascial tension and treat it appropriately.

Warm regards

Gabriell

Thank you for your question regarding your condition broadly diagnosed as adrenal fatigue or burn out. I feel your immunologist is on the right track and you may need to give the new medication some time to be effective. I am interested to know whether the chronic fatigue syndrome you suffer from may have an underlying viral infection, eg Epstein Barr, Coxsackie group.
This might have been contracted many years ago and could be labile in your body, meaning that it comes & goes. Zero cortisol levels can also be addressed , whilst the eczema, vertigo and anxiety are all issues related to your adrenal fatigue and the frustration of not being your usual self. Stress and tiredness are definitely triggers! You are most welcome to contact me at our Kloof street store. Please bring your test results. I would be happy to discuss how to go forward in recovering from your current state. I use Kinesiology, when required, to assist assessments and this may be beneficial. Kind regards, Felicia (Senior Pharmacist and Natural Medicine Dispensary Consultant)

Many factors contribute to adrenal fatigue. Get all the relevant tests done and depending on the outcome you can focus on areas that need your attention. A very delicate balance exists between emotional, mental and physical stress and intervention should in fact involve all levels. The adrenal gland responds to stress by producing cortisol — the major hormone responsible for helping the body deal with stress. You can make many constructive changes in your lifestyle itself to address adrenal fatigue.

We have many formulas in store to assist in the treatment of adrenal fatigue. Solal Burnout nurtures the adrenal back to a normal function. They also have an adaptogenic herbal formula called Stress Damage Control. Adaptogenic herbs help to lower or raise cortisol levels depending on your need at that specific time. Enzyme Process makes a formula called Adrenal Cytotrophin.
It helps with adrenal repair and function of the organ. Enzyme Process Adrenucleo aids in adrenal fatigue. Another good product is Foodstate Adrenostate which aids in adrenal fatigue. The use of adoptogenic herbs has proved to be very effective in the treatment of adrenal fatigue. Eat more consciously. Increase your consumption of fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains. It’s vital that you get all the essential nutrients in place to set a foundation to recovery. Pure Synergy provides a very unique and comprehensive formula providing an amazing range of organic phytonutrients and enzymes that is deeply nourishing and completely balanced. Eliminate stimulants such as coffee, alcohol and sugar. Intake of essential fatty acids will help to promote adrenal fatigue.
Since acupuncture removes obstacles to the flow of chi (vital energy) through the meridians of the body, it can help reduce fatigue and balance the interrelationships between the endocrine glands. Since the adrenal glands are subject to influence by blood flow and alignment of the body, chiropractic adjustments can be helpful for balancing these glands. Yoga practice is helpful both for balancing release of hormones of the endocrine system as well as treating some of the symptoms of adrenal problems. There are many homeopathic remedies that could assist but this needs a correct analysis.

Whilst the herbal ingredients in these formulas have an amazing capacity to balance hormones, they work according to the body’s natural rhythm. The phyto-nutrients in these herbs can in fact stimulate breast tissue but the process is self-regulating. So don’t expect miracles- the change usually experienced by most people during use is small. It will help maintain healthy breast functions and firm breast tissue according to the body’s current needs and not necessarily the aesthetic requirements of the individual. Regards Reena

There are plenty of alternative methods to deal with adrenal fatigue naturally and definitely using Covocort long term will have side effects. This is a good link to get a clear picture of all potential side effects of Covocort- http://home.intekom.com/pharm/adcock/covocort.html
The possibility that it might cause tumours – I do not know this for a fact- but then you don’t find pharmaceutical companies listing tumours as a potential side effect of any drug.
You are welcome to visit our natural dispensary for a good protocol on adrenal fatigue. I am based at our Cavendish Branch. Regard Reena (Resident Homeopath)
