Truefood Grapeseed oil is extra virgin and cold pressed from the seeds of Vitis vinifera grapes, a relatively new product on the market grapeseed oil has a high smoke point and zero trans and hydronated fats. Characterised by a greenish colour and light taste, it is often used as an ingredient in salad dressings, mayonnaise, and other cold dishes. Its stability, neutral taste, and high smoke point makes Grape seed oil relatively healthy for frying and cooking. Grape seed oil has generous levels of vitamin E which acts as an antioxidant, boosting the bodies immunity, and assisting with healthy skin and hair, because of its impressive Vit E content, it has gained popularity as a natural message oil and moisturiser. Along with improving vison and memory, Vitamin E has shown to balance hormones and it can be used to alleviate PMS and Menopausal symptoms as well as aid athletes in muscle strength and physical endurance. High in Omega 6, grapeseed oil can help reduce inflammation and lower cholesterol, it can prevent heart disease and support bone health and may be able to reduce symptoms of ADHD and arthritis.
