3 reasons we love Arnica
1. TESTED THROUGH TIME
Arnica has been used in healing for centuries. There are records of St. Hildegard’s writings about the healing properties of the Arnica Montana plant from the 12th century. We also know that the mountain people used it to relieve muscle aches and bruises from at least the 16th century. Although Arnica Montana is the Latin name it is also known as Leopard’s Bane, Mountain Daisy and Mountain Tobacco. It is a perennial plant that grows less than a metre tall with bright yellow daisy-like flowers that bloom in summer. It is found in the hills and mountains of Northern and central Europe and Siberia and also grows in the North West United States.
2. MULTIPLE USES
Arnica is used on the skin to treat minor injuries, muscle exertion, pain, bruising and swelling. Athletes love it and surgeons use it to treat swelling and bruising after surgery. It is even used to reduce swelling in cosmetic procedures like botox. It is also good for sunburn, skin irritation and inflammation of any sort. It is most typically applied to the skin in the form of a cream, ointment, gel or oil.
These are some of the homeopathic treatments Arnica is used for:
Arthritis, backache, carpal tunnel syndrome, eczema, fibromyalgia, influenza, headache, hemorrhoids, migraine
3. SAFE FOR EVERYONE
Arnica is one of those household essentials everyone should keep in their medicine cupboard. It is safe for the whole family to use and administered correctly has no known side effects or drug interactions. It can help people of all ages to recover swiftly from muscle aches, stiffness and bruising.
