Description

Yogi Tea Classic is the tea that Yogi Bhajan originally served to his yoga students. This unique blend is a combination of the traditional Ayurvedic spices cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves and black pepper. Heart-warming, relaxing, delicious, spicy and wonderful. Cinnamon is extracted from the bark of the cinnamon tree. It tastes aromatic and sweet, and contains nutritious tannins as well as valuable essential oils.Cardamom is one of the oldest healing plants in the world. Ancient traditional medicine of Ayurveda recommends black pepper not only for its spiciness, but also for its valuable properties as a medicinal plant. The essence of this tea is: 'Comfort and abundance'.

Ingredients

Cinnamon*, cardamom*, ginger*, cloves*, black pepper*, cinnamon oil*

Directions

Pour 250 ml of freshly boiled water over the teabag. Allow to infuse for 7 minutes or longer for a stronger flavour. Add milk or milk substitute and sweetener to taste.

Activation stations, everybody!

 

The activation process involves soaking the nuts and seeds to stimulate the sprouting process, and then airdrying them at a low temperature. This process breaks down problematic compounds (called phytates) that would otherwise decrease the bioavailability of the nutrients in the nuts and seeds, meaning our bodies can more easily absorb all the available vitamins and minerals. Activation also ensures the nuts and seeds are gentler on the digestive tract.
