Warnings

Do NOT take PHYTOMIST VITAMIN B12 -If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin), cobalt, or any of the other components of the formulation (see Contents of the pack and other information). Health supplements should not be used as a substitute for a healthy diet. If you have calcification of the arteries that supply your heart with blood (coronary heart disease) and you are scheduled to receive a stent (angioplasty), please inform your cardiologist that you are taking a health supplement containing vitamin B12. If combined with other health supplements containing folic acid and vitamin B6, you may have a higher risk of developing occlusion of the stent following placement. Care is required when PHYTOMIST VITAMIN B12 is combined with health supplements containing vitamin B6. The combination of vitamin B12 (20 µg daily) and vitamin B6 (80 mg daily) have been associated with the development of a skin rash (called rosacea fulminans) that may present with intense redness of the skin accompanied by nodules (small lumps), pimples, and small blisters containing pus. Symptoms may last up to four months after supplementation is discontinued. If you develop a skin rash following supplementation with PHYTOMIST VITAMIN B12, stop taking it and immediately report to your treating doctor (see Possible side effects). A varied diet is the most effective and safe way to achieve good nutrition, health, body composition as well as mental and physical performance. Other medicines and PHYTOMIST VITAMIN B12 Always tell your healthcare provider if you are taking any other medicine. (This includes all complementary or traditional medicines.) If you are scheduled for blood tests, inform your healthcare provider that you are taking a health supplement containing vitamin B12, as it may interfere with certain tests results. Pregnancy and breastfeeding If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, please consult your doctor, pharmacist, or other healthcare provider for advice before taking PHYTOMIST VITAMIN B12. There is insufficient reliable information available about the safety of vitamin B12 at a dose of 100 µg daily during pregnancy and lactation.
