The journey of Sabuca Shea butter started in Canada as Jeremy Arenz benefitted from putting his proverbial ‘foot into it’ whilst living there. Out of his healing was borne the passion to share the experience with all under the sun. The passion and belief drove an idea to a concept to the reality where Sabuca Shea butter is now available on South African soil. The unrefined raw butter arrives on our shores and is manufactured and packaged by Sabuca.
100% pure, unrefined Sabuca Shea butter, product of a triune arrangement between the women producers of Burkino Faso, a Fair Trade Canadian partner and Jeremy and Sharon Arenz.
Shea butter is made from the fat extracted from the almond shaped nut from the Shea tree that grows wild in Burkino Faso. The tree is indigenous to Africa and the best of these are found in Burkina Faso. African women produce the Shea butter according to the traditional methods of manually crushing and churning the nuts. Natural Shea butter retains all it’s distinctive properties and is easily recognizable by its beige colour and unique scent.
