Apple sugar is deliciously sweet. It has a powdery texture and although it doesn't dissovle in tea or coffee you can sprinkle it on breakfast oats, muesli, desserts or yoghurt and it will add a lovely sweetness to smoothies too. You will need a dehydrator to dry out the apples.
Wash apples well. If they're not organic you may want to brush the skins to make sure any traces of pesticides or chemicals are removed.
Cut them into quarters and remove the cores. Keep the skins on.
Chop them into smaller slices ready for blending.
Start blending them a few at a time. You may want to add some water. You can use a Nutri bullet or any other blender.
Once they are evenly pureed, spread them very thinly on your dehydrator's fruit leather sheets. Turn your dehydrator to 60'C. Make sure it dries thoroughly until it is crispy. This will probably take about 24 hours depending on how juicy they were to start with.
Once it is really crispy, remove it and let it cool.
Use a blender to grind the dehydrated puree into a powder.
Store this in an airtight container in the fridge.
